Projects 2012 - 2008

Some of our past projects, videos, films and music are:

Crime: True Stories - A mix of interviews and dramatic reconstructions about real life victims of crime. Made by young people aged 11 - 24.

35mm - A tongue in cheek horror film set in a cinema. Funded by First Light, made by young people aged 15 - 19.

Cash For Kids - Cottonfield Films produced two short promotional films for Radio City's Cash For Kids Charity.

Into Temptation - a short film inspired by old silent comedies.

Youth and Democracy - We provided training, camera and editing services for this film about young people's democratic rights.

The Gram – An album of original songs, written by John and due for release in Summer 2011.

Changing Face – A film made by young people in Bootle on a course we taught them, funded by First Light Ltd.

St Cuthbert’s - A promotional film about the partnership between SSE and St Cuthbert’s Catholic Community College.

ECUK Launch Night – A promotional film for Entrepreneur Club Uk consisting of footage and interviews from their launch night in Liverpool.

Hillsborough Memorial Appeal Film – A film we made to help promote the Appeal after the Memorial Garden in Port Sunlight was vandalised.

Positive Change For Liver Kids – An animated film made by a group of young people on a course we taught. Funded by Mini-mediabox.

Sketches Of Sefton – A short film part-funded by Express Sefton 08, conceived, filmed and edited by Ian. Original music by John.

Test Match Winner – Our first commercial song production. Written by Ian and John, inspired by Ian’s love of cricket.

The Meeting - A short film about an artist's inner struggle. Written, produced and directed by Ian, music composed by John.

Stepclever Open Day - A short promotional film featuring the social enterprises who attended the stepclever open day.

So You Wanna Be A Rock Star? - An original comedy drama about the do's and don'ts of being in a rock band.

Cultural Conversations – a ten minute documentary in which five local artists give their views on Liverpool’s Capital Of Culture award. Shown at FACT Cinema and also on ITVLocal, along with five short promotional films of the artists’ involved.

Real Crazy Apartment – Uni Tunes – a ten minute promotional documentary for the band Real Crazy Apartment featuring live footage filmed at the University Of Chester.

Monkey Valve – Promotional film consisting of studio and live footage for local band Monkey Valve.

Schools That Rock – Cottonfield Films shoots the event and is also on the judging panel of this annual battle-of the-bands competition for schools in North Liverpool.

Amplifi Channel – 2008 Cottonfield Films delivered a film-making course for unemployed 16 – 25 year olds, for the Music Development Agency. Most of the participants had no previous experience of camera or editing and their finished film can be viewed HERE from July 08.

Sometimes… - A micro-short drama featuring a man on a park bench.

Condemned Man – Pre-production has begun for this feature length film written by Ian Chapman. John has composed the composed, of which 80% has been recorded. The remainder of the score is due to be recorded in summer 2008.

Walton Time Capsule – John composed the score for this community project in which Walton’s youth groups collaborated with more senior citizens to produce a film about some of Walton’s history.

Crosby Plaza Cinema – A promotional documentary for the community-owned Plaza Cinema in Crosby.
